FATBURGER leaves a BIG FAT Disappointment

September 8, 2014 Leave a comment
With all the rave surrounding Fatburger I decided to visit and checkout the food at their outlet, so on the 06th of Sep’14 I visited this place.
They’ve opened up their 1st outlet in India at DLF Cyber City at CyberHub. Additionally as I hadn’t visited CyberHub earlier I wanted to see this place for myself.
We ordered the following
  • Chicken Twisters 250
  • Chicken Wings 250
  • Choco Shake 175
  • Coke 95*2
  • Crispy Chicken Burger 280
  • Outlaw Chicken Burger 260
  • Tenderloin Burger 295*2

Rico’s Cafe My Experience

August 23, 2014 1 comment
Hi, I ain’t a food blogger and can’t write as good as those guys. In this and future food and restaurant posts I’ll try and share posts from my POV in a simple language.
We visited Ricos yesterday(22-08-2014) evening for dinner. Really liked the food and the Mojito Pitcher was, my gosh, huge is an understatement. Ended up ordering the following.
Chicken Peri Peri Pizza
Fish & Chips
Garlic Chicken
Lasagne Chicken
XXL Burger
Roller Coaster Shake & Mojito Pitcher
Chocolate Waffles & Choc Brownie Sundae for Deserts.Their deserts left something to be desired and didn’t like the Choc Waffles at all. I’ve read so much about their Waffles but they were VERY VERY chewy and no fun to eat. Maybe the regular guy who cooks Waffles wasn’t there, or something else, I don’t know. They were useless. I’ve tried and simply love the Waffles they serve at OohLaLa at #DlfPromenade and without any doubt, I’d say that they’re much better. I actually left 3 of the 4pcs I got.All in all loved the food, would surely leave out the deserts the next time I’m visiting and am definitely ordering the Pitcher. Its a must have.

IMHO it’ll be nice if they start doing more Pork preparations as all the variety of food that have is in chicken except for the lamb Burger which comprises of Lamb patty.

Cheers

Street Food in Thailand. Highway pit-stop from Pattaya – Bangkok (in 2010)

I simply love the simplicity and the variety of food available in Thailand. Additionally never in all my travels have I seen the cleanliness with which food is prepared in Thailand, anywhere else.

These pictures were captured on our commute from Pattaya to Bangkok. I exactly don’t remember where was this but it was almost midway our journey. This was quite a bug complex with clean loos, lots of eateries, etc.

No Matter where one’s in Bangkok, you aren’t far from a Foodcart.

Street Food, Street Food and More Street Food. I can never get bored of it and if it’s from the streets of Bangkok I think that I’ll be able to live on it all my life.
These set of pictures were captured in summer or 2010 in and around the Pratunam Area of Bangkok. We were staying at Baiyoke Sky Towers & while the rest of the party whom I was traveling along were happy to have their food at some Indian restaurant, I simply declined on principal. I simply don’t understand the reason behind this. When we guys are in India we crave and line outside Thai, Chinese and Italian joints, not to mention pay heavily for the even not so authentic food. However when we are abroad, we hunt for Indian food and again pay extra for the not so authentic food.
Anyways, that’s too much of my ranting.

On the road update Day 1 Delhi to Ahmedabad

March 16, 2013 Leave a comment

On the road update.
Trip report DAY1 DEL-AHD :
Started early from Delhi and we’re on the road at 430am. There was a lot of truck traffic even when leaving Delhi early morning. And most of them drive as if they own the road using all the three lanes of nh8. It was like this all the way up the end of the Jaipur Bypass and wee were there at approx 830ish.Then from the Kishangarh Expressway it was a smooth sailing all the way up AHD. We went through the City of Udaipur and didn’t take the bypass as I ready somewhere that it has the tendency to clogup and I had to fuel up too. Left the City of Udaipur at approx 330PM and we’re at our hotel at 730PM. Took a right from the Chilodia Circle and reached Hotel Ginger driving via Gandhinagar. Once we reached AHD traffic was heavy but nothing that shouldn’t be expected of a big city in peak hours. Had to stop a couple of time as my son was not well. For the entire journey drove between 80 to 95 Kmph and never going above 100 during the entire journey.
Had an awesome dinner at Goverdhan Thal, more so we were very hungry and this was nearest to the hotel. However I believe that they’re loosing their touch and usp. The quality of service has really gone down over the past 3years since I’ve been visiting this outlet on what I’ve experienced.
The hotel Ginger was a mixed 1st impression. Staying here for 2
more nights so will reserve my judgement till the end of the stay.
